Stylish Dining: Kiddo Style

I'm absolutely DYING to design a kids' playroom -- sure, adults are fun, but let's face it: There's much more room for playfulness and creativity in design when the little 'uns are your clients. Hopefully someday soon I'll have the chance to put a table and chairs like this (*though I'd consider painting them a bold, glossy color) in a space for a fabulous mini-client.

The Shape of Style -- Pretty Panton Chair

The Panton chair has long been a staple in modern interiors -- and in my humble opinion it will continue to do so. Personally, I have a single matte black one as my desk chair (it POPS against my white parsons-style desk). Someday I'd love to surround a large dining table with a rainbow of colors. For now, I just keep pushing them on my clients. Current case? A single male client on the Upper West Side of Manhattan who needs a stylish dining area for six. The thought? Sleek glass table (like this one -- budget friendly) surrounded by five black chairs and one white (or perhaps one red...) Unexpected pop of style! Why not?! Quick Obsession: Stairway to Style Heaven

The stairway is often one of the most style-neglected places in our homes. The go-to of hanging a cluster of family photos is nice and all...but I'd like to see a bit more pushing-of-the-chic limits. Here's one way to go about it. Tile, wallpaper or even unique paint applications could all help achieve this look with ease.
